Manchester United and Arsenal could go head-to-head to sign Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey, according to Fotomac.
The Frenchman has established himself as one of the best right-backs in the Turkish top-flight and he has been touted to pursue a bigger challenge.
Arsenal were interested in signing him over the summer after Jurrien Timber’s injury, but they did not make a formal approach.
The Gunners are still following him closely but are now likely to face competition from United for the highly-rated right-back.
Boey has impressed with his tackling, duel winning ability and ball recoveries. He also likes to make progressive passes.
Galatasaray are unlikely to entertain a mid-season exit, but they are more than open to selling him for €25 million next summer.
There could be interest from other European clubs in the coming months. Boey previously said that he was flattered by Arsenal‘s interest.
The Gunners could have an advantage in the race if they make an approach to sign him during next summer’s transfer window.
